Therapy doesn’t erase your past or change who you are- it helps you grow in ways that honor your true self.

About Michelle

With over 15 years in the mental health field, Michelle is a Licensed Professional Counselor in Connecticut and Colorado. She is passionate about helping people feel more connected to themselves, create meaningful change, and build lives that feel authentic to who they are.

Her experience includes inpatient, outpatient, residential, community mental health, and nonprofit settings. Today, she provides private practice therapy for adults who are ready to explore deeper patterns and create lasting change.

Michelle’s therapeutic style is direct, grounded, and trauma-informed, balanced with genuine compassion and support. She often connects with people who are highly sensitive, intuitive, or emotionally attuned, especially those who value depth, authenticity, and a therapy relationship that feels genuine. She also believes humor, lightness, and laughter can have a place in the healing process.

Michelle works collaboratively with clients to understand what is beneath the surface and create meaningful change that feels sustainable and true to them.

Animals & Pet Bereavement

Animals hold a special place in Michelle’s heart. She is a lifelong animal lover and has worked, volunteered, and interned in settings involving animals, including canines, rodents, horses, and dolphin assisted therapy. She understands the profound bond we share with our animals and the importance of honoring that relationship.

Michelle’s therapy dog, Rex, is an important part of her life, and clients are welcome to include their own animals in teletherapy sessions when it feels supportive. She approaches pet loss and grief with the same compassion and understanding she brings to all of her work.

As an animal lover herself, Michelle understands that our animals are family. There is no need to minimize that bond or the grief that can come with losing someone so important.

Inclusivity & Community

Michelle’s practice is grounded in inclusivity, cultural humility, and genuine respect for each person’s lived experience. She warmly welcomes adults across LGBTQ+ identities, BIPOC communities, and a wide range of relational and life experiences.

She also welcomes clients who are exploring spirituality, intuition, or alternative ways of understanding themselves and the world, as well as those navigating consensual relationship structures such as ENM and polyamory.

Michelle values transparency, mutual respect, and open communication. She believes therapy works best as a collaborative process where you can be fully yourself, feel understood, and explore meaningful change without judgment.

Why Work With Michelle

Michelle believes therapy works best when you feel genuinely seen, accepted, and safe to be yourself. She values the right fit over filling a caseload and is transparent about that from the beginning. If she believes another therapist would better support your goals, she will be honest about it and help guide you in the right direction.

Her approach is warm, direct, and deeply human. Michelle brings compassion, honesty, and humor into the room while walking alongside you through difficult conversations and meaningful change. Therapy is collaborative and intentional, with space to recognize both the challenges and the progress along the way.
